Attorney J. D. Thorne is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison and Chicago’s De Paul College of Law. He has successfully practiced employment law for over 40 years.

He has produced successful outcomes for a wide range of employers and employees in various industries including manufacturing, printing, healthcare, die casting, foundry, construction, insurance, non-profit, religious, and financial institutions.

He has authored columns, articles, and blogs for Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine, North American Die Casting Engineer Magazine, Nation’s Business, Business Insurance, The Cheese Reporter, Small Business Counselor, and Merger Acquisition Insider.

Attorney Thorne has appeared as a guest speaker for numerous programs sponsored by Management Resources Association, The Guam Employers Association, The San Diego Employers Association, the Wisconsin State Bar Association, the Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association, and the Labor and Employment Research Association. He presented a 15 hour, two day seminar in 14 cities across the country for the National Center for Continuing Education. He is the narrator for a six hour audio program for Federal Publications of Washington, D. C.
